PTTEP Thailand Safety Award for Vroon Offshore Services

We are delighted to announce that Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) Singapore has been presented with the Four-Star CEO SSHE Contractor Award by charterers PTTEP (PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited). PTTEP is one of our long-term partners in the offshore oil & gas exploration and production scene in the Gulf of Thailand. The award recognises four consecutive years of excellent Security, Safety, Health and Environment (SSHE) performance by VOS Singapore.

The 2022 PTTEP SSHE Forum took place on 3 and 4 March. In view of the ongoing COVID-19 measures in Thailand, the Forum was a 100% virtual event. Attendees were able to follow the Forum in both Thai and English and could also visit the exhibitors’ virtual “booths”. VOS Singapore contributed, with a recording of Ernest Loh, Director Chartering and Operations, giving a talk on our in-house Leaders in Safety and Vroon24 safety programmes.

During the Forum, PTTEP also shared its Sustainable Development Framework, based on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

VOS Singapore currently has two anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels at work for PTTEP in the Gulf of Thailand. Operating under long-term charters, VOS Ares and VOS Challenge support both production and drilling work.

We thank PTTEP for this recognition of our services. Receiving the SSHE Award once again is testament to the professionalism and resilience of all our colleagues. We appreciate their unwavering commitment to SSHE, at a time when COVID-19 continues to disrupt normality and impact hard on all those in the shipping industry. We look forward to continuing our journey with PTTEP, contributing to their SSHE goals and TARGET ZERO.
