Breaking boundaries in Brunei offshore operations
Vroon and Jisco Marine install Ampelmann A-35 gangway on MV Falgout
In a recent collaboration, Vroon, in partnership with Jisco Marine, has completed a pioneering project on board a Vroon vessel working for Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP). The installation of an Ampelmann gangway, the A-35 model, on hybrid vessel MV Falgout marks a significant milestone in offshore operations. This visionary endeavour is testament to Vroon's commitment to innovation, safety and operational excellence, also positioning Jisco Marine and Vroon as key players in the offshore industry.
The Ampelmann gangway represents a breakthrough in offshore-access technology. Equipped with advanced motion-compensation technology, it effectively counteracts vertical, horizontal and rotational motions, providing a stable and secure passage for personnel between MV Falgout and offshore structures.
This cutting-edge solution ensures safe and efficient transfers, even in the most challenging offshore environments. The gangway's spacious walkway, well-lit environment and integrated safety features, such as emergency-stop buttons and anti-slip flooring, prioritise the well-being of personnel, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring optimal safety standards. This transformative project sets a new benchmark for excellence in offshore operations, offering enhanced safety and efficiency in personnel transfer.
MV Falgout is a hybrid vessel, currently at work in Brunei waters for BSP. She combines the best of conventional and sustainable power systems, showcasing a commitment to both environmental responsibility and operational efficiency. The robust design, superior manoeuvrability and second-to-none navigation systems make her a perfect host for the pioneering Ampelmann gangway. Falgout's hybrid propulsion system ensures reduced emissions, enhanced fuel efficiency and a smaller carbon footprint, aligning with industry goals for sustainability and responsible offshore operations.
Vroon and Jisco Marine enjoy a successful, long-term partnership. Over the years, we have demonstrated our dedication to providing clients with top-tier vessels, equipped with advanced technologies for optimised offshore operations. This new step in our collaboration underlines a pioneering spirit and shared vision for pushing the boundaries of offshore operations, enhancing safety and efficiency, and driving operational efficiency. The Ampelmann gangway establishes new industry standards and solidifies Vroon and Jisco Marine as leaders in the offshore industry.
