Audits VOS Thalassa and VOS Hestia

Last week, VOS Genoa QHSE Officer Matteo Ciarlo paid a visit to our anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels VOS Thalassa and VOS Hestia in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of his trip was to perform internal and external audits that would bring both vessels into compliance for a formal change of management. Under VOS Project Harmonia, management of our offshore-support vessels is being harmonised across all VOS Management Companies.

Both vessels are currently operating in Saudi waters, together with sister VOS Athos. Their main duty is emergency response in the event of any potential oil spill off the South East coast of Saudi Arabia. The audits, which were successfully completed, took place while the vessels were at berth and no cargo operations were being undertaken.
